Event Description
This presentation will inform staff on why Candida auris is a threat and provide clear, actionable steps for managing patients/residents during interfacility transfers.
Objectives
- Define Candida auris and its significance.
- Recognize risk factors and transmission of Candida auris.
- List how to prepare and implement interfacility communication tools for transfers of Candida auris patients/residents.
Intended Audience
Providers across the senior care continuum—from independent and assisted living to skilled nursing, life plan communities, home health, community-based services, and adult day.
