GENERAL/REGISTRATION INFORMATION

When and what is the 2021 LeadingAge Iowa Virtual Conference?
The  Virtual Conference dates are May 4-6. Join us for an interactive virtual event experience - including sessions, networking, solutions expo, and much more each day.
When will registration open?
Registration is now open.
What are the attendees registration categories and fees?
Visit the attendee registration information page posted on this website for details.
What does my registration category allow me to access on the virtual conference platform?
Most categories give you access to the entire virtual event experience - including sessions, networking, the solutions expo, and more.  The experience is 3 half-days, plus access to on-demand breakout session content which is available after the conference through July 31, 2021.
I would like to register someone else or several people for the Virtual Conference.  Is there a group registration process?
Yes!  You can select the LeadingAge Iowa Member - Unlimited on Campus rate option on the online registration form.  This registration type allows an UNLIMITED number of registrants from your campus for one flat fee!  Within 1-2 business days, you will receive an email with instructions for submitting your campus registration list.  With options to experience the conference live for general and breakout sessions with speakers available to answer questions or to experience all the breakout sessions on-demand, everyone on your campus can benefit from this year's virtual conference.  If you have any questions or need any assistance, please contact LAI at 515-440-4630 or [email protected].
How can I pay for my registration?
You may choose to pay with a purchase order or credit card.  We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover or American Express.  If paying by check, send your check, payable to LeadingAge Iowa, for the total amount due to: LeadingAge Iowa, 11001 Aurora Ave., Urbandale, IA 50322.
I've registered but am unable to attend.  Can I substitute someone else in my place?

Substitutions are welcome through April 30, 2021, or you can retain your registration and access on-demand breakout session content later (post conference until July 31, 2021).  Please email details to Amy Huisman ([email protected]).  See more details on the attendee registration information page.

What if I need to cancel?

If you register and then are unable to attend the live virtual event dates, you can retain your registration and access the on-demand breakout session content later (post conference until July 31, 2021).

Any other cancellation questions can be emailed to Amy Huisman ([email protected]).

LOGIN/MEMBERSHIP

Do I need to login to register?
Yes. To register, you will be prompted to login with your LeadingAge Iowa username and password.  If you don’t already have an account, you will be prompted to create one.  Please let us know if the expected registration rate does not populate after you login.  LAI staff are available to assist at [email protected] or 515-440-4630.
What are the benefits of registering as a member?

As a LeadingAge Iowa member, you can register at a discounted rate for our events.  The login will automatically qualify your membership status and display the member rate for you when you register.  If this does not happen, please let us know, contact LAI at 515-440-4630 or [email protected].

You may register at the LeadingAge member rate as long as your membership is current.

When I login, my membership status shows incorrectly.  What do I do?
When you register, the system will only display the pricing for your current membership status.  If you are not seeing the correct membership pricing or are unsure on your current membership status, please contact LAI at 515-440-4630 or [email protected].  Once your membership has been verified, you can proceed in registering or LAI can process your registration for you.

VIRTUAL EVENT INFORMATION

When will I have access to the virtual event platform and how do I login?
After registering and shortly before the live virtual conference, you'll receive an email with instructions to access the virtual event platform at https://www.engagez.net/leadingageiowa.  The venue will open at 11 a.m. CST on Monday, May 3. Opening the venue early will allow you to click around and become familiar with Virtual Conference platform.  Check our website closer to the event dates for informational videos and previews of what you can expect so you’ll be ready to engage and explore in this new virtual experience!
Which devices are best to use during the virtual experience?  Which browser and what kind of WiFi connection?

We recommend a laptop or desktop computer for the best virtual experience.  Google Chrome and Microsoft FireFox are the preferred browsers.  If you do not already have one of these, you can download Chrome or Firefox for free.  Do NOT use Internet Explorer or Safari browsers, as these will cause technical issues.

Be sure to maximize your screen window and avoid heavy use of your internet connection such as streaming movies or having multiple applications open at the same time.  A download speed of at least 3 Mbps is recommended. You can test your connection speed for free.

Can I share my login with another colleague?
Each individual must register and pay separately to access the virtual event platform from an individual computer.  Your user email/login can only be signed in one device at the same time.  If a second user attempts the same email on another device they will not be able to login.
Will there be technical support during the virtual event?
Yes, there will be a technical support chat icon in the lower right corner of the virtual event platform.
If I have a question or am looking for something happening during the virtual event, who do I ask?
There will be an area in the lobby of the virtual event platform where LeadingAge Iowa staff will be on hand to answer your question.  A Help button will be located in the navigation bar as well.
Will content be available on-demand to access later?  For how long?
Yes. All registered attendees will have access to the platform and breakout session content during the on-demand period after the live virtual experience until July 31, 2021.  Registrants will also be able to continue contacting other attendees, exhibitors and sponsors.

EDUCATION/CE CREDITS

When will education program content be posted?
Education program descriptions are available on the website.  There is no need to select sessions during registration; you can pick and choose sessions and events you’d like to attend based on the schedule of events.
I am a speaker at an education session.  How do I register?
Speakers should contact Amy Huisman ([email protected]) regarding their virtual conference registration.
How do I ensure I obtain my CE credit?

Everyone seeking CE credit must register for a CE eligible category and pay the corresponding fees; additional participants from the same organization seeking CE credit must each register separately.

Individuals must participate in breakout sessions and general sessions using their unique/individual registration login/credentials; CE credit cannot be issued to multiple people sharing the same computer or login credentials.

To meet the regulatory and education requirements, participants must stay for the entire session to receive credit.  Credit cannot be granted to individuals who do not attend the full 60 minutes of each session.  Attendance in each session will be tracked and verified before CE credit is issued.

Be sure to check the continuing education information page for more information.
