COVID-19: What Have We Learned?
Adult Day; AL; HCBS; IL; PACE; SNF/LTC

In December 2019, a novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was first identified in Wuhan, China.  Within weeks, the virus had traveled across the world being declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11 and a national emergency by the United States on March 13.  Throughout 2020, we have learned a tremendous amount about this virus.  Join Dr. Pedati, the Medical Director and State Epidemiologist at the Iowa Department of Public Health, for the most recent information on virus transmission, symptoms, testing, treatment, and what a vaccine may look like.

  • Review COVID-19 transmission, incubation, symptoms, and treatment.
  • Explore developments in COVID-19 testing, mitigation and vaccine development.
