Event Description
This training provides a comprehensive, practical walkthrough of Budget Based Rent Adjustments (BBRAs) for HUD Multifamily Project Based Section 8 and PRAC properties, focusing on how to develop, justify, and submit a complete and defensible budget package. Participants will gain a clear understanding of regulatory requirements, timing considerations, and documentation expectations, while also exploring how HUD and
Contract Administrators evaluate submissions behind the scenes. The session breaks down the HUD 92547A budget form, explains how operating expenses translate into approved rents, and highlights key differences between PRAC and PBRA programs.

Designed for both new and experienced professionals, this course emphasizes real-world application, common pitfalls, and strategies to ensure submissions are accurate, timely, and aligned with HUD guidance.

Budget Based Rent Adjustments can directly impact a property’s financial health, yet they are often misunderstood or underutilized. This session will give you the clarity and confidence to navigate the BBRA process from start to finish. Whether you are new to BBRAs or looking to refine your process, this training will help ensure your property is financially positioned to operate successfully while remaining fully compliant.
